KIM BOYLE

A lawyer with Phelps-Dunbar in New Orleans, Kim Boyle is actively involved in improving the city of New Orleans, serving on the Bring New Orleans Back Commission as the Chair of its Health/Social Services Committee and as co-chair of the Committee for a Better New Orleans/Metropolitan Area Committee.

Boyle is a partner in the employment law group in New Orleans office of  Phelps-Dunbar. She practices in the areas of labor and employment, civil rights, constitutional law, commercial litigation and general litigation. She was the first African-American President of the New Orleans Bar Association.

Prior to joining Phelps-Dunbar, Boyle served as Judge Pro Tempore, Division I, for the Civil District Court for Orleans Parish. She is also a former assistant professor of law at Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans. Boyle attended law school at University of Virginia, earning her J.D. in 1987 and graduated from Princeton University with a teaching certificate in 1984.
