Virgil Robinson Jr., a native of New Orleans, serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Dryades Savings Bank, which he has done since its inception in 1994. Before joining Dryades, Robinson had served as Executive Vice President at Liberty Bank and Trust in New Orleans and senior vice president at Jefferson Guaranty Bank in Metairie, La. His banking experience ranges from lending to operations to branch administration, including executive management positions with several New Orleans area banks.
Robinson is a graduate of Grambling State University, as well as the University of Oklahoma-Norman and the American Institute of Banking. Prior to his banking career, he played professional football for the Green Bay Packers, the New Orleans Saints and the Shreveport Steamers.
Robinson is a member of the Louisiana Board of Regents. In addition to the Regents, Robinson serves on a number of professional and community organization boards, including the American Institute of Banking, the Bureau of Governmental Research, the New Orleans and River Region Chamber of Commerce, the New Orleans Foundation and the Urban League of Greater New Orleans. |
