Sixth Quarterly Report of the LRA
The Louisiana Recovery Authority in December released its sixth quarterly report, outlining the state's progress in recovery through the fall and winter of 2007.
This report highlights highlights funding successes and dollars spent on the ground.
As a result of the Louisiana Recovery Authority's leadership efforts to secure federal resources for the recovery, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding for Louisiana has more than doubled. Estimates compiled by the LRA and included in the Progress Report suggest more than $43.5 billion in federal resources have been spent on Louisiana's recovery thus far - that's nearly 70% of all federal dollars earmarked for the state.
