Overview

• The Coastal Protection Committee is working very closely with the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, which is charged with creating a master plan that fully integrates the state's coastal restoration and hurricane protection efforts.
• Click here to read the CPRA's Coastal Protection Master Plan (preliminary draft)

• Review interim levee repair plan for timing, funding and efficacy
• Develop integrated hurricane protection/ coastal restoration plan, including:
  - Integrated responsibility and consistent standards for levee system
  - Appropriate statewide hurricane protection system
  - Restoration of sustainable coastal wetlands
